 Annie is a Technology and Analytics Manager at a global recruiting organization. She grew up showing Quarter Horses and competed in obedience with one of her family’s Great Pyrenees dog. She moved to Toledo to attend college, and she and her husband have lived here ever since. They have two dogs, Lucy, a Boston Terrier, and Phelix, a Pharaoh Hound.
Personal Statement: My interest in dog training started with 4-H dog obedience at the age of 10 or 11. I also trained and competed with a number of different Quarter Horses nationally until mid-way through college. My post-college lifestyle didn’t allow me to continue showing and training horses, so I began further pursuing dog training.
When initially introduced to positive reinforcement training, I was immediately  hooked on how fun and successful it is for both the dog and owner. With positive reinforcement methods, my rescue Boston Terrier, Lucy, and I have been able to build a strong relationship, overcome many challenges, and surpass a number of our goals.
With my own dogs, I currently compete or am training to compete in rally obedience, agility, conformation, K9 Nose Work, lure coursing, and frisbee. I am also a C-WAGS Rally Judge. I continue my education by attending classes, workshops, and seminars, reading books, and working with other trainers. I have a passion for all dogs, and love assisting others in reaching their own goals with their canine family members.
