  • All dogs enrolled in group class should not be shy or aggressive towards people or other dogs.  Please see details.
  • If you & your dog have attended classes elsewhere and would like to join an intermediate class, you must first sign up for a Level Assessment to find out which class you are eligible to attend. Or, you may enroll in one of the Beginner dog training classes.
    • Level Assessments: $15 per dog.  Assessments will take place in 15 min increments. Sign Up For Your Level Assessment
    • Current Vaccines (DHPP, Rabies, Bordetalla)

  • Any new student entering Intermediate Classes at Toledo Dog Training is required to attend one-"Getting To Know Toledo Dog Training Orientation" prior to the start of class.  This is included in your class tuition.
 
 
Intermediate Dog Training:  Class will focus on strengthening basic commands, adding distractions & distance training. Class taught by Tonya.
 
Prerequisite:  Pass Beginner/Level Assessment, Current Vaccines (DHPP, Rabies & Bordetalla)
 
Topics Covered:  Distraction Training, Proofing Basic Commands, Motivating The Difficult Dog, Leash Walking, Reliable Recall, Distance Training, Confidence Building, Outside outing(s) weather permitting

How To Play-Play is important & underused as a training too.  Playing the right games with your dog helps improve your relationship & understanding of your dog.  However, the wrong games can be detrimental to your relationship. Class taught by Tonya.
 
In this 4 week class, we will teach you how to properly play with your dog.  We will introduce you to ways to start play with a dog who hasn't learned how to play with their humans.  And even teach you new games to play!

Polite Greeting-Learn how to teach your dog to walk nicely on a loose leash & sit instead of jumping when people say hello. Class taught by Tonya. In this class, you must be willing to be the human visitor with all dogs enrolled.

Street Smarts-You'll learn practical uses of the behaviors you taught your dog in previous classes (Sit-Down-Attention-Stay).  Classes are held in various parks throughout Holland/Toledo (weather permitting).  First class meets at the Holland Dog Training Center. Classes taught by Amy.

Tricks-Our tricks class is a fun dog training class that introduces clicker training.  You will learn how to teach your dog a variety of fun tricks, including shake, wave, backing up, target, and much more!    

   

Why teach your dog tricks?  Teaching your dog tricks helps to build a lasting and fun relationship with you and your dog. Tricks help your dog to learn how to learn. Trick training is fun for both you and your dog. Giving your dog something to do helps relieve boredom. Builds confidence for both you and your dog. Entertaining & Fun

Agility 4Fun-Our Agility 4Fun class is an excellent way to build your dog’s confidence, mind & soul…..and even wear him out! Not to mention a great way to build on your relationship & have some good old doggie fun.  Classes taught by Amy.
