Getting Started with Private Dog Training-How It Works
Dog Training Consultation: The initial dog training consultation takes place in your home environment, or at our Holland Dog Training Center. It is essential to obtain accurate behavior & medical histories to formulate a treatment plan. We will send you a behavior profile prior to your first appointment. This is the information we start with to help diagnose your dog & determine an appropriate behavior & training program. This is the first step in starting Private Dog Training Lessons.
After we receive your dog's profile your trainer will meet with you & discuss your dog's behavioral training program. Plan a good 2 hours without any distractions for the initial consultation.
Dog Training Lessons: After the initial Dog Training Consultation your customized training & behavior program for you and your dog(s) will begin. Your trainer will work with you and your dog weekly or bi-weekly to meet your needs and goals. This is where your dog trainer will help you train & understand your dog and his behavior. Together you will work through basic commands, work on a behavior modification program, address behavioral issues and trouble shoot. Day Training Program: Let us jump start your dog's training for you. Here at Toledo Dog Training, we realize not everyone has the time to be proficient at training their dogs. We have designed a program to lighten your load & jump start your dog's training program. Day training is a convenient & effective way to get results. We will come to your home, train your dog individually with your goals in mind. After all, we are professional dog trainers!
Our day training program starts with the initial consultation to obtain accurate behavior & medical histories to formulate a treatment plan to meet your goals. Your trainer will then set up a training program to work with your dog during a specific number of days/weeks. You will be given regular notes on your dog's progress & suggestions on how to continue & reinforce those behaviors in between lessons. Once a week you will meet with your trainer for a transfer lesson to discuss progress & to help transfer the training to you & your life. After the initial training program has completed 1-3 follow up sessions will be scheduled to help ensure long-term success. Prices Puppy Training Head Start Lesson: If you have a puppy that is under 6 months of age, without any aggression or extreme fear issues, this one time lesson may be for you. Your trainer will discuss basic puppy care, training, and get you off to the right start. Plan a good 2 hours without any distractions. Additional lessons are available.

New Dog Head Start: If you recently adopted a new dog within the last 3 months, this one time lesson may be for you. Your trainer will discuss basic dog care, training, and get you off to the right start. After we receive your dog's profile we will meet & discuss you & your dog's new life together.
